Rebuild and test of control valve assemblies
General Electric EHC Actuator Rebuild
- Disassemble unit
- Initial cleaning (Degrease and remove loose paint)
- Remove, clean and check all manifold plugs and orifices
- Inspect all parts for wear, pitting, corrosion or grooving
- Disassemble spring canister and bearings (when required)
- Replace any worn parts
- Final cleaning: chemical and ultrasonic cleaning prior to reassembly
- Assemble cylinder, replacing all seals and piston rings using only
Fyrquel-compatible seal (Viton and Teflon) and verify proper tie rod torque
- Test cylinder operation
- Test Abex servovalves individually (see Abex procedures)
- Test fast-acting solenoid valve for internal leakage and proper operation
- Test disc dump valve for internal leakage and proper operation
- Test GE shut-off valve for leakage and operation
- Re-assemble unit
- Test unit using Fyrquel fluid at a minimum of 2000 psi, checking for
external leakage and piston ring leakage
- Drain fluid as possible and cap fittings for shipment
- Provide test reports for each component
The above procedures performed serve as the minimum rebuild requirements provided by United Servo. We will notify you of any additional parts and/or charges, if needed, immediately following the evaluation.
